• 3:00 PM - Valentina Nitti: A PhD candidate at the IUAV University of Venice, specializing in the history of typography and communication. She combines her research with her work as a graphic designer.
• 4:00 PM - Chiara Riva: A calligrapher and graphic designer, freelancer, and instructor at the Italian Calligraphy Association.
• 5:00 PM - Pittogramma: A space dedicated to sharing projects by young designers, resources, and experiences from the Italian graphic design scene.

VIURE / Graphic Design Workshop of a village’s first newspaper

A workshop to design the first newspaper of Ostana (CN) its graphic and editorial form, visual identity, typography, layout styles, contents and the way of telling them, the symbolism of images and their visual treatment, format, colours. Telling a place through in-depth field research, listening and experimentation, giving life to the voice of a small town, designing its aesthetics, material, format and narrative techniques.

EUROPEAN DESIGN FESTIVAL 2024 in Naples from 30 May to 02 June 2024

Mark your calendars from May 30 to June 2, 2024, the vibrant city of Naples will host the first Italian edition of the European Design Festival 2024, curated and organised by AIAP, the Italian Association of Visual Communication Design. We believe we have composed a program of great interest, designed to allow us to discover key places in this wonderful city, and in preparation for the grand award ceremony, lectures, workshops, city tours, and many informal networking opportunities will be organized.

FT Habit

Questioning the habits behind the design of a geometric typeface. Exploring this idea we designed FT Habit, a typeface that combines the simplicity of geometric shapes with edgier details, in an attempt to contaminate its general aspect. The initial phase of research and development of the book weight, in collaboration with Yevgeniy Anfalov, set the general atmosphere of the typeface, that looks back at some references from the early and mid 1900s. The project has then been fully developed with the collaboration of Andrea Biggio (family extension) and Alberto Malossi (Italics). The result is a versatile family of six weights, with corresponding italics.

CONCRETE ISULA - Workshop di poesia concreta e sperimentale

A two-day immersive workshop run by BBDB Studio e Heart Studio at the Museo Nivola in Orani (NU).
The fifth edition of BBDB Studio's workshop dedicated to concrete and experimental poetry goes to Sardinia and invites local creatives to explore new visual languages to express the idiosyncrasies of island living. The workshop is free and open to Sardinia residents.
