The thesis project delves into the social implications of communication design, investigating how the profession of a designer can influence and shape the thoughts of individuals and society. The book is divided into six chapters, each addressing a specific theme of our interest: aesthetics, experimentation, cities, culture, politics, and people. At the conclusion of the research, two interviews were also conducted: the first with Giorgia Lupi, information designer and partner at Pentagram, and the second with Thierry Brunfaut, co-founder of the Base Design studio. The design approach of the book is the result of research and experimentation around the ideals of the Dutch studio Experimental Jetset: the goal is to make the book a tangible and material object by employing different visual solutions, such as the overlay of textual elements, unconventional cuts of photographic elements, and an extensive use of white space.
