This thesis illustrates a web application designed to assist inexperienced users in planning mountain excursions. Limiting the degree of risk deriving from hiking is the target of this project. In fact, according to the Corpo Nazionale Soccorso Alpino Speleologico (CNSAS) statistics, it represents the main cause for emergency intervention in the Alps. Through the study of cartographic solutions and web apps already on the market, combined with the identification of the needs of the identified user personas, was then realized the user experience and the resulting user interface of “Halp?", equiped of brand identity and a web cartography system for the representation of paths.
