Professione Creativo is a Turin-based nonprofit project whose main purpose is to accompany and help young designers during a complicated and crucially important period in the lives of many: the transition from the world of university to the world of work.
"Simple Illustrations for Complex Emotions" is an illustration system designed specifically for this reality, designed to communicate in a clear and friendly way the message and values of Professione Creativo.
The system is composed of a series of assets designed to be integrated into the platforms currently used by the reality, but another fundamental part of the project is represented by a series of rules and principles that show in both a conceptual and practical way the canons to be followed to allow any 3D designer to consistently and quickly expand the pool of illustrations available to Professione Creativo in a future if it decides to communicate with new tools or modalities.
In this volume the process that led to the design of the 3D assets and guides that govern the illustration system is summarized and recounted in all its phases, divided into two parts. The first, the research one, aimed mainly at fully understanding how and why these systems were already being used by many companies and to study in depth the reality of Professione Creativo, with particular attention to its ways of communicating and its users. In the second part, on the other hand, the designing part, there are all the steps that, after a careful phase of analysis of the previously collected data, led to the creation of the illustrations and to determine in what ways these could be integrated and how they could expand the visual communication currently adopted by the Turin-based project.
