(in)solito magazine looks at each issue at one different small provincial town or village. The magazine describes everyday moments in the town portrayed through pictures, stories, and meetings with people. The aim is to portray the daily life and traditions commonly associated with that town from a different perspective without stereotypical representations. The magazine is designed for both locals and tourists.
The first issue is dedicated to Valeggio sul Mincio, a town on the border between Veneto and Lombardy, known as the town of Tortellini, the Sigurtà Park, and Borghetto village, an enchanted place on the banks of the Mincio river.
The magazine is divided into three sections united together by a rubber rope. The modularity of the magazine symbolically refers to the country made up of many different fragments and traditions, and more practically invites readers to have a shared reading moment thus feeling part of a community.
The creation of the magazine arose from the need to answer the question “How is it possible to enhance a small provincial town through a paper publishing project?”.
