The following project focuses on the fortnightly magazine La Difesa della Razza (In Defense of the Race), published between 1938-1943, in all Italian newsstands on direct commission of the fascist party. The thesis initially presents an analysis of the anti-Semitic magazine in the form of a first-person narrative, this is followed by an exposition of images. Overall, the volume contains only a limited number of the photographs and articles, extrapolated from 117 publications; the choice fell on the subjects used in the past for questionable purposes. For the texts, between the pictures, they are not only a summary of the original magazine articles, but also a method to quickly understand the fallacious reasoning of the fascist writers. The aim is to restore dignity to the figures portrayed in the photographs, but at the same time, not to deny the true nature of the magazine's content. The overall effect is that of an absolutely unprecedented view of the thinking going on during those years.
