Torviscosa, an industrial city, built in a few months around the factories of SNIA Viscosa, a leading textile company at the time, arose in the Bassa Friulana.
Looking at the town in detail, it is possible to notice its changes due to corrosion caused by time and nature. All this generates a new narrative about Torviscosa, which departs from the canonical one that perfectly frames the rational aspect of the company town by exalting its functionality and organization. Lesser known aspects are put on display, almost as if it were an analysis of background noise, evoking the concept of “contaminations” that represents the macro-theme within which the project is narrated.
Among the details of the city stand out the archigraphies that are also an example of mutation and non-homologation due to the wide variety of designs and styles found. Such aspects have been brought into vogue in the revival of typeface, maintaining an organic component in the face of rational forms. The typeface is told along with the history and research done within a specimen.
