Sidney Lumet's "Making Movies" book highlights the collaborative essence of filmmaking, where diverse professionals create a unique 'magic'. This project explores storytelling's importance for humans, as it shapes our understanding of the world, fosters empathy, and defines our identity. To delve deeper, I chose to explore the birth of cinematic language and its impact on our perception of reality. I tasked an AI to direct a documentary about its creator, humans, to understand this relationship. The AI directed 'The Human Tapestry', a short film, under my production, adhering to specific guidelines I set. This experience is documented in "UNCANNY VALLEY", a book divided into three sections: a thesis on the evolution of cinematic gaze, a transcript of my discussions with Aurora Vega, the AI director, and my personal reflections on producing a film with AI as the creative director. This journey not only explores the collaboration between human and artificial intelligence in art but also reflects on the evolving nature of storytelling and technology's role in it.
